Thanks for sharing this Ali. I was tired of watching, listening and reading about the violence for so many years now.
Thanx Brosreview!
That is my goal. I like to show people that Iraq is getting much better. Unfortunately media focuses on the negative side only. Alot of good things are happening these days and will all give good fruits in the short and long run.
Cicily!
It is worth-wowing! believe me that coutry is so beautiful but it only takes wise leadership, time and education to remove off the sign of destruction it has/had received throughout the last 40yrs or so.
That was brilliant Ali... I agree with Bros' after all the pictures of destruction it was great and refreshing... can you explain any of them too me? Im with Cicily, I would love to travel there.... how long since youve been there Ali?
Well, all of the pictures are taken within 2008, to show how nicer and safer it is comparing to what was happening in 2005,06,07. The fist picture shows kids celebrating Childhood Festival in Baghdad, or kids playing football (soccer) are all in Baghdad. The river is Tigris. The golden dome belongs to Imam al-Hussein shrine in Kerbalaa, people sitting in line are having a public fast-breaking meal during Ramadhan in Baghdad, picture of Christ is set at one of Baghdad parks marking last Xmas. Girls in line-dancing are in Kurdistan celebrating Newroz (Kurdish new year)...ect
Soon, i am gonna post some other pictures showing sunset in Iraq, they are beautiful.
I actually left Iraq in September 2008. I didn't take the pictures, but they are taken from one of the Iraqi websites.
Ali,m what a collection, what a great taste of selecting all these photos.
It made me drift into the past, it also made me hope for the future, Iraq will be back as it was before, because there are still people who have the will to do so.
thanks Allawy for sharing
Mix Max!
